Welcome to Shapland Swim School Gaven. Our purpose-built swim school is proudly managed by Belinda and conveniently located 600m from Westfield Helensvale, just off the M1.

Here, you are a part of our swim family, and Belinda and her pride themselves on delivering a personalised service that is right for you and your children. Each member of the swim team comes with not only a depth of experience, but also share a deep passion for the water. General Information

Swim Classes
Each and every of our swim classes have a maximum of only 3 children per class. This is to ensure we optimise your child’s learning through focused attention, fun and reduced distractions. Our airconditioned observation area provides parents and loved ones the opportunity to watch each swim class in quiet comfort.

Flexible Make-up lesson
We understand that life can get busy sometimes, and that flexibility to support your child’s learning is important. That’s why we offer the option to reschedule your child’s class to a better time that suits when needed. Simply remove your child from their class prior to the cut of time and you’ll be able to re-book them for a new time when suits better. You can do all this through the MySSS Client Portal or simply call or email us.

Our Unique Pool Design
Our state-of-the-art swim facility is uniquely designed for you and your child’s needs in mind. With several different depths to support progressive learning your child can gain confidence and develop their skills quickly. Our airconditioned observation area provides parents and loved ones the opportunity to watch each swim class in quiet comfort.

Heated Pool
At Shaplands the comfort of your child is our top priority. That’s why our pool is set at 32 degrees Celsius all year round. As children generally have a low percentage body fat, our 8 decades of teaching experience has taught us that they usually feel cold in water below 32 degrees Celsius. It is important to us that every child, as well as their parent who enters the water with them feels comfortable in the water. This ensures that the activity of swimming brings joy and your child’s learning can be optimised.

Magna Mineral Water – A Miracle!
Shaplands are dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of your child. Because we understand that some children have eyes and skin that are sensitive, we use Magna mineral pool water. This innovation in water science provides Shapland’s with a healthier water for your children to learn-to-swim and bathe in. Not only is it gentle on eyes, and therapeutic for the skin, it also naturally sanitises the pool water 24/7.

Enrolment Information
The Shapland Swim School at Gaven Gold Coast Swim School, like all Shapland Swim Schools, runs a seamless learn-to-swim program so you never have to rebook your spot. Simply book in the class that best suits you and your family and you are guaranteed your spot every week without needing to rebook!

Swim Lesson Fee Structure
All of our classes are charged monthly in advance by the calendar month. Per family a deposit of $94.00 per family is held to secure your child’s weekly swim class, paid at the time of your booking. This deposit will be deducted from your last month’s fees.

Weekday class: $23.50
Saturday class: $24.50

Second lesson discount: If your child would like a second lesson within the same week, we offer a reduced class fee. The fee for a second class Monday-Friday is $15.25 and $16.25 on Saturday.

Sibling discount: To support families we offer a reduced fee of $13.50 for weekday classes and $14.50 for Saturday classes for a third sibling enrolled in our swim program.

Our Swim Teachers

Expertise and safety are our priority, and we ensure each of our teachers are highly trained and nationally certified. All of our teachers are AUST SWIM/ASCTA qualified and are Blue Card holders with CPR and first aid training. They also receive continuous swim training to ensure ongoing safety compliance and expertise.

And, because learning should be fun, each member of our team shares a deep passion for the water and pride themselves of providing a fun, safe and engaging learning environment where your child will flourish.

Most importantly, we value building strong bonds with our pupils and their families because this not only creates a great swim community, but also fosters feelings of security for your child in the pool. That’s why we aim to have stable teachers and avoid changing your child’s teacher as much as possible. This means your child gets to know their teacher, forms a secure and trusted relationship with them. This in turn enhances their learning and skill development.
