Welcome to Shapland Swim School Moorooka. Our purpose-built swim school is proudly managed by Lucas and Marie Shapland.

The son of the founder of Shapland Swim School Chris Shapland, Lucas is a 4th generation swim teacher bringing with him the experience of the family that came before him. His grandfather Bernie Shapland and great grandfather Thomas Shapland were all swim teachers and passed on their passion for the water.

Growing up in a swim family, Lucas has over 20 years of teaching experience, having learned first-hand how to support each child in their unique swim journey, from babies through to advanced students. He shares this not only with his local Moorooka and Ipswich community, having managed Shapland Swim School Ipswich since 2009, but also with his two young boys, Bernie and Murphy.
